4 SparkInfluence Features You Should Implement Today

SparkInfluence is a comprehensive advocacy platform that brings your grassroots tools, CRM, grasstops surveys and messaging together in one easy-to-use platform so you can … But are you using it to its full potential?

If you’re new to SparkInfluence, or even if you’ve been using it for years, there may be hidden features that you didn’t even know existed. In this post, we’ll cover eight of some of the most powerful and least known features of the SparkInfluence platform that can help you save time and effort while making advocate interaction even easier.

1. Tagging

Ok, so we’ll start with a softball. If you’ve ever clicked on the Stakeholders Dashboard, you’ve probably seen the Tags box staring back at you. Tagging is supremely powerful in the SparkInfluence platform. More to the point, it’s a way for you to quickly and easily group stakeholders together. But, unlike other systems, Tags provide unbelievable power in reporting in SparkInfluence. Within seconds of creating your tag the system has already started building out reports on advocacy activity, email engagement, insights on previous actions and more. Imagine being able to tell how engaged your Board of Directors is. Or are your fly-in participants from last year still paying attention this year. Get started with tags today to see just how easy, and powerful they really are.

2. Committees & Custom Groups

Did you know that, like tags with stakeholders, you can easily aggregate legislators into Custom Groups? Do you have a special caucus in Congress you want to keep track of? Those who voted for your latest bill or signed-on to your letter? Even better, do you wish that the custom group of legislators that (co)sponsored a bill would update automatically? Custom Groups provides just that capability. In seconds find the members and your stakeholder representation on all standing federal committees or create your own custom caucuses to track how effective you’ve been with particular members. Take it for a spin, then add them to Smart Alerts to maximize your messaging.

3. A/B Testing

Unsure of what email message will resonate with your stakeholders? Let the system do the work. With only a few minutes extra in setup time, you can test any outbound email message and put your best foot forward. When creating an email, select A/B Tested Message, set up your test and you’re off and running. The system will start by sending the two messages out to a small group of stakeholders. After the selected time passes, the winning message – or message that performs the best – will be sent to the remaining group. Imagine always sending out the message that resonates the best to the most people.

4. Automate Onboarding and Follow-up Emails

You’re busy. You don’t want to spend the time week after week crafting welcome emails to any new advocates. With automated messaging you don’t have to. You can schedule multiple follow-up emails to advocates taking action. These emails are created within the Automations tab and you can customize the content of each and set delays between each send. Create onboarding or just reengagement messages that welcome folks back into the fold. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it works.

You’d be surprised at the extra engagement that comes along from using these 4 features. Segment and target your stakeholders with Tags, leverage built-in committees and create custom groups for those legislators you’re tracking, test messages and overall let the system do the work.
